Hey everyone! 👋🏼
Josep here, back with your weekly bite of career insights and encouragement ✨
Last week, we unpacked why mindset beats raw talent — and how the smallest shift in belief can unlock big transformation.
This week, we go even deeper.
🌀 What do you do when the world is changing faster than your plans can keep up? You improve your position — both physically and digitally.
🧭 In today’s issue:
Why where you are, online or offline, shapes the opportunities that find you
How to develop high-agency habits that attract luck and open doors
A simple decision-making razor to help you spot the luckier path every time
Stick with me for 5 minutes — it will be worth it, I promise! ✨

Aside from increasing the surface area (we already saw three weeks ago), you can also improve the position you’re in. Luck flows more freely in some places than others.
Combine a large surface area with good positioning, and you increase your luck significantly.
#1. 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 & 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆)
One of the boldest ways to shift your luck?
Changing your environment.
Of course, you can succeed from anywhere, the internet has made that possible.
But proximity still plays a role.
There’s a kind of magic that happens in person, in hallway chats, random coffee invites, and the energy of being around ambitious people.
That’s hard to replicate on Zoom.
That’s why cities are still cities. And why, despite everything going digital, people chasing big goals still cluster in hotspots.
But let’s be real: moving isn’t always feasible.
Resources, family, or personal priorities can keep you grounded. That’s totally valid.
Luckily, you can improve your position without relocating.
You just need to be intentional about where you show up:
Share what you know online — publish in the digital square
Join niche groups — and contribute with purpose.
Reach out to others — even pay for a conversation if it moves the needle
Be where interesting people are — virtually or physically
Your position isn’t fixed. You can move upstream by choosing where you spend your time and who you surround yourself with.
#2. 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆
High-agency people see the world differently. Where others see limits, they see levers.
“The story you’re told about what you can/can’t do… is just a story.”
You can rewrite it.
Here’s how to be more agentic:
Ask for unreasonable things. Aim beyond comfort.
Get honest feedback, it’s the fastest path to growth.
Treat everything as learnable. Most traits are skills in disguise.
Don’t overwork. Burnout kills your ability to act.
Be someone people want to help.
The more agency you show, the more luck flows your way.
#3. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗥𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗿”
Here’s a simple rule of thumb:
When choosing between two options, pick the one with more luck potential.
Should you stay in and relax, or attend that random meetup?
Should you take the safe job, or chase that ambitious new project?
Use this razor for big moves and daily micro-decisions.
It compounds.
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗸
Pick one of the following and do it before the week ends 👇🏻
Publish one insight online — a LinkedIn post, a tweet, a comment, or a blog. Make yourself findable.
Join a niche community — Slack group, Discord server, Substack comment section. Introduce yourself.
Reach out to someone you admire — ask for a short call or feedback. Offer something in return.
Use the Luck Razor — When facing a small decision this week (event, call, idea), choose the one that feels like it opens more doors.

PS: You’re allowed to…
Stay where you are — and still expand your reach by showing up online
Feel stuck — and still take one step to reposition yourself
Doubt your next move — and still choose the luckier path
Ask for help — and still be seen as someone who adds value
Rest when needed — because protecting your energy is part of agency
Growth isn’t always about pushing harder.
It’s about moving with purpose — and placing yourself where good things can happen.
Are you still here? 🧐
